Rustic Warm Stain Finish

What you need for this Project

1. Gouge, scratch, scrape, add nail wholes, etc.
2. Fill gouges and scratches and all joints with stainable wood filler.
3. Sand with 220 grit sandpaper. Use shop vac to remove all dust. Wipe down with line free clothe dampened with mineral spirits.
4. Apply a coat of minwax special walnut. Wipe with a clean lint free clothe. Allow to dry.
5. Sand with 220 grit sandpaper. Wipe down with lint free clothe dampened with mineral spirits. Apply spots of minwax jacobean stain. Allow to penetrate for 1/2 hour. Wipe off with lint free cloth. Allow to dry.
6. Sand again with 220 to reclose grain. Wipe with lint free cloth dampened in mineral spirits. Apply a minimum of 2 coats of satin polyurethane with a foam brush. Sand in between coats.
